2012-07-20rework change_desktop function - check boundsIvan Kanakarakis
2012-07-20rework setfullscreen function - accept desktop argIvan Kanakarakis
no need to use XWindowChanges and XConfigureWindow all we want is to change the border width, which can be achieved with XSetWindowBorderWidth. we need to know how many clients are on the given desktop, because if there's only one, then there shouldn't be a BORDER_WIDTH border.
2012-07-20rework stack function - reorder if/else/return statementsIvan Kanakarakis
2012-07-20rework mousemotion function - do not unset fullscreen stateIvan Kanakarakis
either way, this can only be done by the client. if the wm wishes the client to toggle fullscreen state the wm should send an appropriate XEvent, and not just change the property for the client.

2012-06-25fix comment on removeclient() fuctionIvan Kanakarakis
2012-06-23fix CLICK_TO_FOCUS behaviorIvan Kanakarakis
when CLICK_TO_FOCUS was set, a Button1 click on a client should make that client the current one (highlight and input focus). however this was inconsistent, as if a modifier key was pressed at that time, like CapsLock or NumLock, the click would not be grabbed. this commit fixes this behavior and CLICK_TO_FOCUS should work regardless of NumLock or CapsLock or both modifiers beeing pressed at the time of the click event.
2012-06-21bigfix focus behavior on FLOAT modeIvan Kanakarakis
clients spawned when mode was FLOAT would not be marked as floating clients, and thus floating clients would appear on top of them. now clients spawned when mode is FLOAT, are marked as floating clients. additionally, there is no 'reset floating clients' capability, when mode is FLOAT. this was achieved by retiling the windows (reselecting the current mode). it would mark floating clients as non-floating and thus tile/reset them to the layout. this must not happen when the mode is FLOAT, as if a client on FLOAT mode is marked non-floating and moved to another desktop, it will be tiled, and this is inconsistent behavior (unexpected result). clients on FLOAT mode are floating clients always, and switching to FLOAT mode should mark all clients as such.
2012-06-15fix focus behavior - unmapped clients dont get input focusIvan Kanakarakis
2012-06-15replace a left off fprintf(stderr,..) message with warn()Ivan Kanakarakis
2012-06-15new client should always be current on its desktopIvan Kanakarakis
this fixes a bug that caused new clients on other non focused desktops (FOLLOW_WINDOW False and follow=False) to not become the current client of their desktop. this introduced the (now fixed) bug at cec4ecc (fixes #9): bugfix: null dereference in removeclient() caused freezes
