| this fixes a bug that caused new clients on other non focused desktops (FOLLOW_WINDOW False and follow=False) to not become the current client of their desktop. this introduced the (now fixed) bug at cec4ecc (fixes #9): bugfix: null dereference in removeclient() caused freezes | |||

| 2012-06-15 | bugfix: null dereference in removeclient() caused freezes -- fixes #9 | Ivan Kanakarakis | |
| this fixes freezes caused by clients opened in another empty desktop and closed without ever being focused. this possibly hides another bug, where new clients that spawn on other desktops that are not followed do not become the current clients. reports by djura-sans/kuraku, TheLemonMan, Shinryuu. ref: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=132122&p=27 https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1116092#p1116092 | |||

| 2012-03-14 | set _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW when requested | Ivan Kanakarakis | |
| tools like `xdotool` can be used to select/focus a window, using the _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW property. however those tools don't know or don't care about the state of the window, ie the window is unmapped. we workaround this by checking if the client that requested that property is visible in the current desktop. If not we discard the client message. | |||

| 2012-03-11 | fix no current client when removing prevfocus | Ivan Kanakarakis | |
| for example we open an application with a splash screen. the splash screen is the current window until the app is ready, opened, and mapped. once it's ready, the splash screen, which is now prevfocus is destroyed, and thus prevfocus is null. closing the app, called update_current(prevfocus) which resulted in no client being current and highlighted. also the check to remove _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW is done with head. if there is no head, there is no client. | |||

| 2012-03-01 | active window is always the current window | Ivan Kanakarakis | |
| 2012-03-01 | fix overlapping borders | Ivan Kanakarakis | |
| when a floating or transient client exists, then, selecting normal clients wouldn't raise them, so, its active border was hidden, most times. now every window is lowered, except the active one, so the its borders are always on top. this also fixes flickering of floating/transient clients that were ovelapping. however it introduces a weird behavior when the mode is monocle, as in that case when the floating client is selected, the background/fullscreen window is always the first opened window (or head). | |||
